Senior Frontend Developer (m/f/d)

What it is about

You are an e-commerce enthusiast with strong experience in client-side web technologies (HTML, CSS and JavaScript)? Then we need your support! You will work on one of our new established squads in the agile-working department Digital Value Creation (DVC) and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation.  You will also be responsible for architecting and defining the frontend framework to solve complex designs and interactions.

What your tasks will be

  • Development and improvement of user-facing features
  • Development and improvement of mobile-based features
  • Analyzing and fixing all kind of issues
  • Constantly improvement of the technical systems
  • Act as a mentor for less experienced developers
  • Finding technical solutions for business requirements
  • Proactively check-up of the system for problems and bottlenecks and define/implement counter measures
  • Acting as an interface between business requirements and technical solutions
  • Giving proactive feedback in case of questions regarding open tasks

What you should bring to the job

  • 4+ years of experience in frontend development with CSS, HTML and JavaScript
  • Solid understanding of web markup, including CSS, HTML5, CSS3
  • Solid knowledge of CVS systems (e.g. GIT, SVN)
  • Good knowledge in one or multiple IDE (e.g. PHPStorm, Netbeans, Eclipse)
  • Solid understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
  • Solid knowledge how to explain technical problems and solutions to non-technical people
  • Good knowledge in agile working methods
  • Very good ability to work independently and ability to make decisions
  • Familiarity with Grunt
  • Fluent in English
